Peter founded Allen Capital Group in 1998 as an independent corporate advisory and private equity investment firm. He is one of Australia's leading experts in the areas of corporate restructuring and corporate turnarounds. Immediately prior to founding Allen Capital Group, Peter was Managing Partner of Arthur Andersen Sydney and a board member of Arthur Andersen Australia. Peter was a partner of Arthur Andersen for 17 years and in that time held various leadership positions including being the worldwide leader of Arthur Andersen's corporate recovery and turnaround practice for 8 years. 

Peter has extensive expertise in dealing with issues challenging the success and growth of mid-market public and private companies both in Australia and overseas. He has had Chief Executive experience with large professional services businesses and has co-founded a number of start-up businesses in the business services sector. Peter has had considerable involvement with most aspects of corporate advisory and corporate finance work with a bias for helping clients formulate and implement value creating strategies.

Peter has over 30 years experience in the areas of corporate restructuring, corporate turnarounds and revitalising underperforming businesses, involving strategic, operational and financial re-orientation. His industry experience includes both public and private companies covering the manufacturing, property development and construction, industrial, business and financial services sectors. Peter has had extensive overseas business exposure which in the late 1990's included leading Arthur Andersen's Asia/Pacific corporate recovery and turnaround practice during the Asian currency crisis.

Peter has a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Sydney, a Master of Applied Finance degree from Macquarie University and he is a Chartered Accountant.
